Deputy Mayor Linghu commented that while we are faced with issues such as global climate change, environmental deterioration, and air pollution, An Eco-Friendly Home for Four's curatorial team has already embodied environmental sustainability, circular economy, and living aesthetics in the lives of the family of four. Loving Earth is not just a slogan anymore, as actionable solutions have been proposed, elevating Taichung flora expo to another level, making it the pride of Taiwan and the soul of the flora expo.

Deputy Mayor Linghu pointed out that An Eco-Friendly Home for Four is a new sustainable building featuring all-wood construction and thermal insulating walls using agricultural wastes such as rice straws and wood chips. The building and various elements such as water, electricity, energy, food, flora, and fauna form a low carbon home and ecosystem that has won 5 international awards, a truly commendable and remarkable achievement.

According to the City Hall, the planning concept of An Eco-Friendly Home for Four has incorporated the 5 elements of earth, water, wind, fire, and people into various construction materials, techniques, operating models and unique landscapes. For the program, curator Te-fu Liu has assembled nearly 10 industry-leading teams in sustainable design, natural architecture, organic agriculture, and visual design, as well as over 200 volunteers to participate in the construction process, guided tours, and design the Lishan lectures. Together, they have epitomized the spirit of the flora expo: Green, Nature, and People, serving as the perfect example of energy-saving and low carbon lifestyle in Taiwan, enabling the people to prepare against the challenges and threats of extreme weather.
